Emily Agnes Whitby (nee Biffen) (1883-1946).

Emily was born to Edwin and Emily Biffen (nee Smith), in Stoke Newington, London, England, in 1883.

It is assumed that Emily grew up at 2, Red Lion Lane (now Lordship Lane) in Stoke Newington. This is where the family were living at the time of the 1881 census.

Between 1901 and 1911, Emily and family were living at 183 High Road in Tottenham, London. In the 1901 census, Emily has her occupation listed as an 'Assistant Needleworker'. On the 1911 census, again she is listed as a 'Needleworker' and a 'Shop Assistant', presumably at her father's shop.

In 1912, Emily married Alfred Whitby (-1946) in Edmonton, Middlesex. The couple had one child, John. 

On the 5th March 1946, Emily passed away in London, aged 63 years.
