Elizabeth Marie Woodman Enock (1821-Unknown).

Elizabeth was born to Joseph and Mary Enock (nee Robinson) in Radway, Warwickshire on the 16th July 1821.

There are documents showing that Elizabeth was Christened on the 26th September 1847 in Lancaster, Lancashire, England.

In 1851, Elizabeth was living with her sister, Lucy's family at 3 Crescent in Parkstone, Dorset.

On the 21st October 1854, Elizabeth married Edward John Payne (Architect, Unknown-1890) at the Parish Church in Edgbaston where the couple were living.

Over the course of the marriage there were 8 children, Edward Burton (b1856), Percy John Beauchamp (b1857), Arthur George Brown (b1858), Mabel Bertha (b1859), Francis Maclure (b1861), Philip Clive (b1863), Claude Wellesley (b1865) and Clarence Aubrey (b1866).

It is still unclear as to when Elizabeth passed away. The last census I can find is 1881 so we will have to assume between 1881 and 1891.

Edward John Payne.

Edward was a renowned architect and designed amongst other buildings, the Birmingham and Midland Eye Hospital (now the Hotel Du Vin) on Church Street.

Edward was the first child of Captain John Payne who served with the First Foot Guards (later Grenadier Guards) and fought with the Duke of Wellington at numerous battles in France and Spain (including the battle of Waterloo) during the Napoleonic wars.

Captain John Payne was awarded the Peninsula and Waterloo medals the latter being passed to Edward in his will. The Peninsula medal went to John Payne's second son Arthur James Payne who in 1880 became surgeon general of the Bengal Medical Service in India.

On the 12th June 1890, Edward passed away in Barmouth, Wales.
