| Scope and content | This file contains over one hundred documents relating to the events sorrounding the capture of the 51st (Highland) Infantry Division, of which Joe was a member, on the 12th June 1940 in St. Valery, France. The main bulk of the documents run between June 1940 and July 1941 and consists largely of handwritten and typed letters sent and received by Joe’s father & brother, Guy and Graham Enock, in their attempts to locate Joe, and assist with his return to the UK. |
| Notes | Housed in their original cardboard folder. Collection was given bequeathed to Joe's executors, George & Margaret Collie, upon his death in 1983, and was subsequently gifted to Adam Enock in February 2014. |
