Description | Transcription: Dear Miss Fraser, We have now considered Guy Graham's MONSIEUR JOSEPH - and I am sorry to tell you that we are unable to make you an offer for this. While one has nothing but admiration for the author's tenacity and gaiety of spirit while he was making his escape through France, our feeling is that his story isn't quite strong and unusual enough to make it sway successfully at the present time. I am therefore sadly returning the typescript of MONSIEUR JOSEPH to you in the hope that you may be able to interest another firm in Joseph Enock's work. |
